Hey everyone! Some time ago I created a chessvariant, Battle Chess. It's a variant in which you conquer the squares of the board. Each turn they generate income and enable the player to buy new pieces and eventually you'll check-mate the king. I liked the idea so much that I wanted to play

I'd put pawns only on their starting rank. Would you able to move your newly placed pieces immediately, or is placing a piece considered a move?

Players may move and place new pieces. They may buy and place as many pieces as they can afford. The new pieces are placed at the end of the turn and may be moved next turn.

Players turn:
1) announce which pieces are bought and pay for them
2) get income for lands
3) make a move
4) place the announced piece(s)

This variant is a great idea, I will certainly try it. Won't the board be too crowded though with all the bought pieces? How about expanding it to, I don't know, 10x10 squares?

The game is finished! Thanks all for the help :) On some things I couldnt decide so it became an option. I would love it when a good player plays the game and could send me their exported moves so I can replay the game.
