That is a good question! I never thought about that since I just got another laptop with a huge hard drive and haven't thought about deleting games. I have Chessmaster 10th edition on the lap top and started a game just now to see how to delete it. I just browsed through the manual (although a booklet of roughly 40 pages doesn't count as a maual in my mind). I'll try coming up with a solution and write you back. However, there has to be some genious out there that has already fingured this out. There is probably some big button that says delete game I some how missed staring blankly into the screen.
need help with chessmaster

I think you might have to go into the directory to delete it,
It will be something like
c:\program files\ubisoft\chessmaster 10\data\user
then select your user profile
and then manually delete the game.
Its a bit annoying but thats the way i delete my games, if anyone has a faster way I would like to know it

Hey guys thanks for the info, to Hugh-T-Patterson' Yeah me too I was expecting a ''delete'' button somewhere but is doesn't have one !
yeah zanni Iwould like to know how to do it faster too, ooselbym I don't really want to delete the whole games, oh well we/I will just have keep trying let me know if you find anything else keep me in post thanks KC

zanmi is correct and I don't think there is any other way to delete your saved games
Agreed.

Since the question seems to of been answered, I'm gonna be cheeky and drop in another question.
What's the differeence between, Fritz, Shredder, Chessmaster, Rybika (spelling?) eh, I can't think of any others.
Are they all pretty much the same thing? Just curious because I hear people talking about them a lot on this site.
Fritz/shredder/chessmaster/rybka all are chess engines.
Fritz has forever been a favorite simply due to its awesome interface for analysis. It has a tactical style, and many GMs have used the engine/interface. However, I wouldn't recommend buying fritz (it was a good idea a few years ago), as so many other engines come with the fritz interface. Unless of course, you want multiple engines to analyze with =).
Chessmaster is known for its "personalities" and most consider it the best if you want to play against a computer opponent. I heavily recommend this if you are a class player, as the interface is easy to use, and many of its weaknesses aren't a concern.
Rybka is the most powerful chess engine available by a wide margin. It comes in standalone without a chess interface, A specialized fritz interface by chessbase, or the "aquarium" interface by convekta. I would recommend this product (bundled with either the aquarium or fritz interface) for stronger players, who think a .1 pawn differance is critical.
Shredder is another chess engine thats quite popular. It comes with a fritz interface (by chessbase) or a homemade shredder interface. It is known to be quite positional (for an engine), and back in the day won many awards and made many innovations.

Thanks!
That answer perfectly satisfied my curiousity. I can now understand why some people prefer one over the other.

Yeah Zanni's right. I ripped the software apart and there is no easy delete. I love the program but I have to say that this is a major flaw. Unless I'm really missing something like a big yellow "delete game here" button, there's no simple delete mechanism. Amazing that they would over look such a simple and useful tool. I still like the program. In fact, instead of spending my Sunday in the recording studio, I'm sitting in bed with my wife and laptop, playing chess. The only thing that would make it better would be a rainy cold day, forcing us to drink hot brandy.
Hi, I've got chessmaster 10th ed. pc, you know when you saved games and you can play them again by loading the save game, well how do you delete the saved game ?
Thanks in advance to your replys K.C.
