watch youtube videos (chessnetwork I like alot) and chessxplained and kingskrusher
engame books are best.
Mato Jelic doesn't seem to have any beginner videos, or maybe I just can't find them?
I'm reading Bobby Fischer teaches chess atm, which book should I read afterwards? Any recommendations?

These courses were designed just for beginners like you to get a running start in all 5 basic categories. Well written, to the point, and did I mention they were free?

NM Dan Heisman's recommended book list is a great resource, as are his Novice Nook articles.
For videos, I recommend Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis on YouTube.
Read one book at a time. Don't try to rush things else it starts to feel like work rather than fun.

Mato indeed doesn't have beginner video's, but he shows why a move is a good one or not.

If your father is really good, maybe you should ask him for advice 
As for yourself, it depends if you want to become good at online blitz or OTB long chess. In the first case, just playing tons of blitz and solving tons of tactics puzzles should help, in the second case, I strongly recommend joining a (real) chess club.
Mato's endgame vidoes are pretty beginner - you don't get more beginner that R vs K endgames etc.
