I’m new to online chess. Im a retired senior citizen, and I’m Googling and seeking out chess websites, trying to learn what’s available on the web. I’ve played for the MOST-PART against my hand held trusty Novag Sapphire.(rated 2383, if memory serves) But I want new “adventures” playing against real humans because frankly, , the computer is too perfect and very difficult to beat!
I’d like to ask how # 1 how does one go about getting a rating? I know for sure I’m not the best, but it would be nice to at least know where I stand.
# 2 I’d like to ask if there is a good, downloadable chessboard interface that would work with my I-pad (I don’t have a working p.c) only this I-pad. I’m wanting an interface that would store my entered games, play them back, and hopefully give an analysis on those games, pointing out blunders, errors, inaccuracies and suggestions for improvement.
