New Look

Thumbs up. Love the preview boards on the online chess home.

thumbs down for me. don't like the look of my homepage.

I like it... nice change!!

The new look is not bad but I don't think it was necessary. The old look does its job greatly already. I think the time should have been spent on somewhere else to in terms of improving the site. New look can be a bit confusing for some people as well.

I'm a numbers guy, so I like the boxes, lists, text, etc.

Making everthirng bigger and adding eye candy isn't my style.

Talons down. Some of the typefaces overlap each other.

C'mon guys lets all fight the resistance we have to change and embrace the temporary confusion :p

but this the third changes in 5 years ! shit chess.com haven't you got better thing to do, like fixing bugs, making live chess better etc. ?

It took a little getting used to but I was very impressed. There will always be some resistance to change but I think if folks give it a chance and Chess.com is willing to tweak it  expeditiously when problems are found, it look promising.

The boards are going to be shown by FEN positions now, just for you.

Even in live chess.

I don't care for the new look. I didn't even like this one when I came here. I still don't care for it. Maybe I should find out if I can change the color scheme. There's just too much white.

Perhaps it has nothing to do with the new engine, but....is anyone else having trouble getting the website to update, yet your iPhone is saying you have moves?  I haven't ever noticed this issue until last night...

Yep, I've had this problem. On my PC also.

I love the new look. It works on desktop and on iPad.

Tactics trainer is awesome. Even better is that I can now watch the videos from Rensch without using flash player...YAY!

This definitely concerns me... I want that PRIVATE!!!!

Other than that, I think it's pretty good. I don't see any reason to go with a new look, but what the heck. don't stop progress! I just want my privacy a little more, and seeing other people's friends is kinda weird/rude.
