Description:

MyRep is a chess utility that will automatically build a chess repertoire in accordance with the user specifications. The idea is to use the online database to find the most popular moves played against our repertoire and the moves with the best success rates for us. Then using stockfish we exclude blunders for each side and where needed we will substitute the online move for the engine move.

The user has almost full control over how the repertoire is built by way of settings. The features and functionality of MyRep is best described by going through the process of finding moves and settings available to the user:

(Please note almost all these features are optional and the user can define exactly to what extent they are to be implemented in the GUI)

On every Villain turn MyRep will:

Access the Lichess Master as well as the Lichess online database;
Include the most popular master move into the repertoire tree and select the number of moves, as determined by the user in the GUI, in accordance to popularity in the online database to be possible candidate moves;
Exclude candidate moves if they are played to seldom or if there have not been enough games in that position as defined by the user in the GUI;
Blunder check the moves that remain and exclude moves that do not pass the thresholds as defined by the user in the GUI;
The moves that remain are then each accepted as a separate line and MyRep will then go to find the best Hero move.
On every Hero move MyRep will:

Access the Lichess evaluation to find the best move according to the stored cloud evaluation;
Access the online database online database and retrieve all the of possible candidate moves for Hero as determined by the user in the GUI and exclude any of these candidate moves if they do not comply with the user defined minimum popularity or the minimum number of games in the database;
Find the most desirable move according to the statics and confirm whether the move is either the top engine move by cloud evaluation or stockfish evaluation. If not, then the move may still be approved if it falls within the user determined margins. If it is the top move or within the margins then that move is included in the repertoire as our move. Otherwise, the top stockfish move is selected as our move.
Thereafter MyRep will then go back and find the next move for our opponent.

This process will continue until MyRep reaches either the predetermined depth as set by the user in the GUI or until there are so few games in the online database that the user no longer wishes to proceed with the line.

Once the repertoire is complete MyRep produces a .pgn file which can be imported into any PGN reader.

Please note:

1)      You only have to extract the files and run MyRep_GUI;

2)      Windows may give a warning because it is an unpublished source but you can do the “run anyway”;

3)      The First time you run it your anti-virus will scan it and it can take up to 60 seconds to start. It will pass the scan and then the program will start.

4)      This is the trial version and you will be limited to a repertoire depth of 10 moves.
