Most chess books are specific to openings or to players, and are usually stuffed with heavily annotated games to show why the moves were played (or why they were bad moves!)
There is a list of top ranking players on the website here, as you'll see, they have their titles beside their names. If you click on their names, you'll see a tab listing their games that they have played on the site. You are free to download all those that you can see, but if you have a premium level of membership you can download their whole archive
Hi guys. I'm not exactly sure what my chess rating is. I started playing chess in primary school and I'm now 24 years old. I have Chessmaster: Grandmaster Edition at home.
My general play has two major flaws:Impatience and tactical play.
After the rooks gets connected in the opening stages of play, I tend to get lost. I make a few bad moves, trade here and there and hope to be a pawn up for the end game. My strategic play is decent with regards to pawn structure and piece mobility, but I seem to be rather planless in the middle game. I deliberately trade queens to make the middle game somewhat more relaxed.
Are there any GM's/FM's whose games I can study or books that you guys would recommend?
