One way is to set the rating range for opponents
Click on settings (the gear icon) and choose "all settings" in the ensuing menu. click on "Daily Chess" or "Live Chess" as you wish, then change both the outgoing and incoming ranges (+- your rating) to what you feel comfortable with and SAVE.
After that, only people within that rating range can accept your seek and you will only receive challenges from players within that range.
You can change it anytime.
