Not intending to play the person twice.

I made a mistake and pushed a 3-Day game with the same person twice. I don't want to play the same person. Will I be penalized if I just let the 3Day game run out of time, by not making a move ???

You don't lose rating points if you make no moves, whether you resign or time out. I think only after 4 moves each does a game count towards rating.

So nothing happens if you get fools mated?

It's the resign button (white flag), in the future, if you are still unsure, if you hover your cursor over the button it will tell you the options, it should say 'abort?'
