Someone gave me a "move by move" book. Of course the GMs are going to have great moves. The main question I had was "why isn't x move good?" It looks good to me. Another alternative is to find a friend here and play unrated takeaway games. Each game should have a theme such as Ruy Lopez deferred exchange. Take notes on each move and then exchange your notes.

I agree with c_gg, scrap bullet/blitz for the meantime, play longer games instead. Also if you will read a book, make sure you study them well, and not just looking on each pages for few minutes. I suggest play the moves(from the book) in your chess board.
Try other tactics book like Chess Tactics for Champion by Polgar.
