Just carefully notate the move right after a move, and there should be no problem.
In some tournements, the games are used to create tournement database by the staff, but in most tournements its just for the players to analyze the game, and learn from ones mistakes.
So I will be entering my first FIDE tournament in two weeks. I will be tracking my moves and my opponents. I began yesterday at my club to track my moves and my opponents and realized that I had made some mistakes. There was more pressure because it was 25 minute games. What happens if I lose track during a tournament ? I expect to find it easier to note moves since it will be a 90 min. game but are the notations used by tournament officials or are they only for personal tracking.
