Notification when your seek is accepted

  I did a search on this and found no occurrences but I'm sure other have had the same problem.  When I do a seek for a 3 min 960 game it can take a long time before some one finally accepts it so of course I'm not going to sit there and stare at a blank screen for dozens of minutes so I go surf the web.  The problem is sometimes I get notified of the new game  and sometimes I don't.  Its frustrating to have a seek accepted but you don't get notified after waiting for a long time and have to resubmit it again.  Seems like when I have my headphones on I always hear it, can't absolutely confirm this, but with no head phones it is hit and miss.  Am I doing something wrong?  Got any suggestions other than wearing heaadphones all the time ?
