Hi good buddy, Thanks for asking, I take real good care of all my toys, nothing at my end could have damaged it, and the shipping box did not have any surface damage. Do you have one of these games? This is an old post and I did get my money back when I returned it, but I do miss the Citrine.
Novag Citrine Chess Computer
I would try another model/brand.
I own an ancient Saitek "Turbo King". I purchased it over 20 years ago. I've dropped it countless times and even "hit it" on occassion
- but the damn thing still plays on! Some of the LEDs no longer work but I can still read its intended move from the clock/move display. I take it to the pub for my weekly OTB games just in case no one shows up to play. It's a dinosaur but still has the ability to make you nash your teeth and mutter the odd expletive.
As to the "delicacy" of the current table top models .... my guess is they don't make em like they used to.
Well if you know of any other model or brand please let me know, but is has to be close in size as the Citrine, thats what makes it so unique. Wish I could fly out to your favorite pub and drink a few and play a few, should see the surprise moves I come up with when I have had a couple
, good test to see who can hold their cup of poison better, lolo
Does any one have any hands on experience with this computer. This is my second one I sent the first one back because the audio would not work and some times it would not accept my move. This one the audio will not work, but it is playing much better, and I must admit it is enjoyable playing against. But then in the problem mode it froze up on me and I could not get it back even after turning it off.
Would be very helpful for me to hear what others may have say, should I walk away from it or try another one
Thanks!
