Yeah people hope to at least save a draw , but if he manages to exchange pawns, then it is a draw since you don't have enough material to checkmate him. In several of my games, me leading by a queen or more my opponent offers a draw and then resigns after i decline it.

I think you're too sensitive. Say no. Get on with it.

Show us the position when you're done. It's possible your opponent can exchange pawns which will lead to a draw.

Yes, the best way is to choose for yourself if you want to keep playing. I had someone offer me a draw earlier and I accepted, and MAYBE there could have been a win somewhere, but I didn't want to spend all that time trying to find it. The draw was satisfactory and we both were happy. Especially since I found a neat bishop sacrifice to secure drawing chances anyway. So you make up your mind if it is a draw, and if not, then say no. Maybe he thinks it is a draw, and maybe he just wants to see if you will say yes.
