I know that my approach perhaps is not the best way to learn chess, but I just think what Im doing is really fun. I think it's fun to let the engine suggest the best moves and then I try to make those moves and go back and forth and trying different moves. On chess.com in my browser it looks only one core is being used (2 threads), my cpu has 6 cores (12 threads). It would be awesome if all cores could be used by a multicore engine/chess program so I wouldnt have to sit and wait for it to evaluate deep lines; around 23 lines it starts to take a long time and from there the time for each extra line takes significantly longer time (and that makes it a lot less fun) and I'd like to have at least 30 lines evaluated quickly.
Basically I'd like the chess.com experience using Stockfish as engine with the line suggestions with a score value and with full multicore support. Ideally I'd just want chess.com to have multi core support, because in all other regards I already find this site to be a great chess experience for me.
I tried installing different chess GUI's and add Stockfish as engine, for example Lucas chess, but it lacks the line suggestions and score values etc (and seems to be using only 1 core anyway). I tried Arena chess program but it's in German and its English translation is borked, with weird symbols and special characters and a lot of the text is still in German, and German is not for me sadly.
If someone have the time I would be very happy if you would share me some advice on how to proceed with my goal here. Maybe there is a full tutorial guide on how exactly to do this? (as of yet I was not able to find such a guide, but maybe it's out there somewhere)
