OK, I understand that opening knowledge has developed a lot, but is that true of the middle and end games? If, and it's a big IF, new and old players had got to 20 moves equal then who would you expect to win?
Anyway, this is a 960 tourmament so please make your predictions, mine are below.
Lasker v Carlsen
Capblanca v Caruna
Alekhine v So
My predictions: Lasker 0-2 Carlsen, Capablanca 1.5-0.5 Caruna, Alekhine 2-0 So. The old guys win.
