Hmm, I agree, in Russia they seem to be blindly fond of chess.

I can hardly think about chess when i am not looking at a board!
I only get some insight after staring at an empty one, or when i am following a game "diagram to diagram".
But as far as i know though, certain groups of Soviet players had integrated blindfold chess into their training.
What about you then?
