Your opponent:
Blitz: (8 W/ 8 L / 1 D)
Online: (6 W/ 0 L / 0 D)
Stop being paranoid.
1682 is fairly low. You'd expect someone cheating to be way over 2000. Also, some people spend hours on each move in turn-based games boosting their quality considerably. Did you have any other evidence?
Play the blitz and online games through ... this is not the same player doing both.
Unfortunately, you cannot compare blitz to online. It would be common for this to look like two different players.
Wait a minute...I'm confused. The only person you've "ever" lost to (you have one loss) does not even have a live chess rating. What are we talking about?
The person I lost to deserved the win. It was a tight even game and a mouseslip left my Queen on prise.
I don't think chess.com has the resources or will to police cheating in turn-based games.
You think so? They used to have a list of players banned. This list increased by a few members every 30 minutes or so.
Wait for your ticket to be answered, it will be.
I know of more than one case of accounts being shut down because of cheating. But you'll need some serious evidence. My own rating (blitz, standard, online) is absolutely different and game quality incomparable. Obviously, because my dedication is also much bigger when it comes to online analysis, research with database, second thougts and so on.
Honestly, I don't see a solid case with just what you've shown. Call for a rematch. Play a few times and observe.
Furthermore relax and enjoy good chess! Cheers!
A week ago I reported a case of online 3 day turn based cheating to chess.com and absolutely nothing has been done. Apparently it is okay to use a chess engine in these type of games.
While I can't speak to the specific process, one game is usuallly not enough to ban someone, unless it is extremely obvious ... even then, I'm not 100% sure one game like that will do it. Your opponent doesn't have many games in correspondence so if it is occurring, it may take a little while to have anything happen.
But it isn't allowed. There is just a high burden of proof in such situations.
It's extremely obvious. Oddly enough this person can't be found using the "View Players" search feature. chess.com is a joke when it comes to policing chess engine use.
As I mentioned in a previous post I will finish my current games and then sign off. Would you care to play a Live Standard game instead of making insipid comments?
no cheating there. 1600 online is super easy to get, 1000 blitz and 1600 online is completely normal

That's not his opponent. His opponent has zero live chess games.
That is the opponent in question. As far as kaynight goes, his posts speak for themselves ... he'd rather make insipid comments than play chess.
A week ago I reported a case of online 3 day turn based cheating to chess.com and absolutely nothing has been done. Apparently it is okay to use a chess engine in these type of games. The cheater has a Live rating of 1057 and his online chess rating is 1682. An examination of the types of moves being made in both types of chess soon reveals that there are two different "players" at work here.
As soon as my current chess.com games are done I am deleting my chess.com account. chess.com simply doesn't care about cheating by lower ranked players in turn based chess. If I wanted to play a chess engine I would simply download one to my PC.
