On Mobile, is it a good idea to play with "Show threats" when against the computer?

I have played chess for some time now, however I still tend to blunder a lot and hang pieces or forget about a piece which is undefended. I find that the app version of the game is good as it tells you when you have made a mistake or a blunder, I find this quite encouraging. Another feature I have noticed though is the "show threats" function. Is this a good learning aid? To have this switched on? Will this help reduce blunders/mistakes?

Thanks in advance.

I think the only thing I’d say is that when you’re playing a real game you won’t have this aid to stop you from blundering pieces. In my view it would be a better idea to just play normally. Over time you’ll find your board vision improves and you will notice you aren’t dropping pieces as often. One thing I’d advise is watching John Bartholomew’s Chess Fundamentals series on Youtube, specifically the first video which is about undefended pieces. Good luck!
