Same here bro. I'm actually really good irl but when i play here it's just straight up nonsense and try hards. I win tournaments and I'm basically a professional but online is not even real chess imo.

Chess isn’t for everyone and if it’s only fun when you win, then this game definitely isn’t for you, because we all lose, a lot.

Just don't look at online forums lichess is actually pretty good for that as not enough people use forums tryhards are good actually but it's he ones hat get angry that are annoying plus there is a reason I ignor chat in-game

The first part of your rant I don't understand. Faulting people for trying is a bizarre concept. Personally I play seasonal sports as well as chess. In both the physical sports, as well as mental sports, I hate it when my opponents stop trying. Either they don't see me as a worthy opponent, and I am being treated like a child, or they have just given up and the remainder of the game is a tedious waste of time. Both scenarios spoil the contest. To all my opponents: try hard!

Secondly, yes, chess is cruel. One mistake can cost you any game, no matter how many previously perfect moves. But that's the challenge. That's with you, not your opponents. Learning to play well, and do so for an entire game is the sportsman's quest! Winning a game after playing good from beginning to end is a great feeling. You are inspired to go back and battle again. And if you lose, so be it. Doff your cap to your worthy opponent and move on.
Thirdly. To get better play longer time controls. Take time to play meaningful moves. Have time for the blunder check with each move. Play the game from your opponent's side too. 10/0 is technically rapid, but it's basically blitz. 15 + increment or 30/0 are much better for improvement. Hopefully that's helpful. Hopefully you will find some joy in the game again.
