Online chess: pros and cons

Pros:

1. One can play against players local and international

2.  Moves can be automatically saved as a PGN for later analysis and anotation.

Cons:

1. More and more I'm starting to realize that some losses shouldn't be taken to hard, since unseen opponnents can cheat with chess engines or use a board with pieces to figure best mates forcing combinations.

2. On sites such as chess.com and IRC chess the board is 2 dimensional compared to live games which are 3 dimensional.  One can play well online but poorly during live games.

Did I miss anything else?

I hate when I lose online to some guy who is more thank likely using a chess engine or small board with pieces!
