There may very well be such players with that much focus and time on their hands, but I have seen many players withmy rating make very stupid mistakes and it is always because they are playing too many games at once. They blunder because they are distracted. Is a juggler as willing to juggle 50 balls as three? Simul players drop juggle balls.
Online simuls
Why not play 100 games at once? Great way of learning, it lets you try out multiple lines, and ,just take notes on your games so you dont forget your game plan and pay attention every move(the one I struggle with) . Its like tactics, you dont have to see how the game got there to see the next best move. And who wants to have to wait hours or days even for someone to move when I can just start up a new game? Most people who play time limits of 3 days are making moves at work or while their eating. What i'm saying is I doubt the people who are playing 15 games at once are giving their full attention either. If you want someones full attention play "live" chess or otb.
They are not officially simuls and they have, to my knowledge, never been called that. However, when a player is engaged in 20, 50, or 90 games at once, that is effectively a simul. Is it just me or does playing many dozens of games at once smack of obsession? And if so, is that a bad thing? Any answer is necessarily subjective. The point is this: it has come to the point where I look into every match the computer sends me in response to my challenge. I do not want to play someone who is playing 99 others at the same time. I want my opponent's attention for the very simple reason that chess is a game of not only tactics but strategy. I admit it. I am assuming here that an intermediate player like me and others are not able to be strategic while playing so many at once. There are exceptions but those people are masters and GMs.
I propose that chess.com add a parameter to the challenge settings window.
Such as: "opponent playing a maximum of 15 games" Ultimately this might be a petition. Plz let me know whether there is any support for this out there. Thank you.
