online vs. OTB

The following story is true: this evening I won OTB against a strong player (+- 2000 fide-Elo) grom the second Bundesliga in Austria. Same evening I lose a Blitz against a 1227 player in chess.com. Maybe, I can't play online, maybe online chess is not "real chess", maybe I am insane and need professionell help. With other words: OTB I am a good Amateur, online I am an evil blunderer. I don't know why.

I don't know how much blitz you play, but it definitely takes some acclimation. My blitz strength is well below my OTB strength, in part because I don't do much of it. In part it is because I'm just less temperamentally suited to it.
