In Fritz 8, certain moves have (?) marks beside them, indicating, I think, bad move. But the analysis suggests that move be played. Some of these moves are different colors, like Blue, Red, etc. What is the significance of the different colors and the (?) marks?

Here is a link to the PDF of the Fritz 12 manual. Some things don't change much. (The CD that you got when you bought Fritz probably contains the manual for your version.)

On page 50, they explain the Opening Book notations. Basically, the moves that led to a win are highlighted in green, the moves that led to a draw are blue and those that led to a loss are red.

Thanks buddy, I appreciate the manual. So I take it that I'm correct in assuming ALL the question marks refer to 'blunder" regardless of the colors?

Thank you again.

That seems probable but I would hope that the moves without the question marks would be the ones that won or drew and the moves with question marks would be the moves that lost.

I don't know Fritz so it may have its own definitions. Everything I have ever seen considers a (?) move as a weak move and a (??) move as a blunder. (just to be nit-picky) It would be strange to see a mating combination composed of (?) moves but anything can happen in time pressure.
