One of my favorite openings to play as white is the Shirov Attack in the Advance Caro. An extremely aggressive and fun way to play against the Caro-Kann.

i think g4 is also for the bayonet attack

The Shirov attack delays g4 by playing Nc3 first

so like you could play the bayonet attack then once they play a move you can play nc3 and turn it to the shriov

No, because the point of playing Nc3 first is for black to play e6 and lock their bishop on the outside, so that g4 is more forceful since they can’t retreat backwards

If you play the Bayonet Attack, and they play e6, they just hung their bishop

Technically then yes

Also the diagram wasn’t loading for me originally, but I suppose that would be a transposition to the Shirov
