opponent preparation query

My plan is to play tactical opening/play against positional player and play tactical opening/play against positional player. Does this idea works? 
 
I have experience of avoiding my opponent preparations by preparing completely different opening and sometimes it works.
 
Is this going to help me in long term?

point taken...

actually my question above needs revision...there are top 2 or 3 player in our club that is almost 200 plus higher than me. based on my record with them i was able to get a win if my opening is different from my usual. but when i used my normal opening, i even get a yugoslav ( i haven't study yugoslav yet) style attack on my dragon. 

for other players, i just play normal chess. but for the top 3 (fide 1800-1900), i feel they already know my moves if i play my usual opening.
