Past and Future US Champions

Marshall is one of my favourite players. I have his games collection. I always remember him writing how he tried working in an office but was caught looking at a chess position on his pocket set in a drawer .It seems to me the lesson here is "do what you love"...
There's an infectious love of the game in his annotations.."The Pipe Game", "The Gold Coin Game" etc

I had written an article about Stepan M. Levitsky, the man who lost to Marshall in the famous "Shower of Gold" game. Of course, I included that game with Marshall's own anotations.
