Is it me or do others perform in their games much better on Lichess? I don’t have many games there but whenever I play there I can win and when I lose I perform really well. I don’t get it. It’s the same game. I blunder less often. Well, last game I blundered but that was a click move accident. Just curious if others have the same experience?

Seems unlikely.

I am curious what your ratings are there.

I have heard that ratings there are several hundred points higher on average than here and that happens because they all start off at 1500 whereas people here start as low as 400.

im not actually talking about ratings. im talking about performance..yes indo agree ratings are higher...i have less blunders there. also I review game there and also bring here for review and my perfomance is much better... i average 65 percent moves on Chess.com. but get 80 percent on Lichess all the time...even when i review on Chess.com my perfomance is much better

What happens when you review the same game on both? Are the scores the same?

60% Lichess

25 % Chess.com (I'm usually here for the forum)

15% PlayChess.Com (European Chess Base server)

Both LIchess and Playchess.co, have similar ELO structures.

I don't want to go off on why I think the play is much harder here (especially when if you look at my games ... I've played like crap here)

You defiantly have to have your "A Game" on here. One can't just come on and play casual skittles... your going to tilt exponentially

In the U.S., the Federal Trade Commission

(FTC) enforces laws against deceptive practices. If a platform is found to be manipulating ratings or using unfair algorithms, it could potentially violate these laws. This act protects consumers' rights to leave honest reviews. If a platform suppresses or manipulates ratings, it could be seen as a violation of this act

There is growing scrutiny over the transparency of algorithms used by digital platforms. If a platform's algorithm is found to be unfairly disadvantaging certain users, it ucould face legal challenges

Users who feel they have been unfairly treated by a platform's rating system might consider legal action. This could involve claims of unfair business practices or deceptive trade practices
