Period of no improvement in Chess
Hello There! First of all I want to tell you that a rating of 2200 USCF is awesome! That makes you ahead of 95% of the players! As someone who used to be 2000 ELO before my account got compromised, I'd suggest you watch games of grandmasters and try to improve your mastery. I was stuck in 1800 ELO for about 6 months, and I randomly started watching GothamChess's videos on recaping grandmasters' games. I found it entertaining because it also taught me certain tactics. After my account got banned, I lost interest in chess itself and now play in my brother's account for fun. Wish you best of luck on gaining more elo! By the way, I read your bio, and I also like Maths and Computer Science! Would love to be friends.
Hello guys,
I have been about ~1900 USCF online for about 1 and a half years now with little to no improvement (1881-1945). Before this I was improving pretty fast and got to 1900 USCF fairly quickly in around 1.5 years but now I am pretty stagnant in chess improvement. I was wondering any tips to improve my chess and reach the 2200 USCF level. Anything would help like book recommendations, mentality when playing tournaments, etc.
Thanks in advance, (Please don't mind my play and rating on this site I really don't play seriously here I play seriously on lichess)
