I was wondering if a particular piece or pieces tend to have more ! and !! annotations associated with them? Off the top of my head, it seems like there might be more ! & !! moves associated with pawns and and minor pieces than with major pieces. The idea here being that it's less surprising when a player uses a major piece in a powerful manner.
Just something I was thinking about while driving home from a short business trip.
