1...e4
Play a blindfold game

Not sure, but Gert typed 1 ...e4 (the dots represent blk's move, but blk can't legally play ...e4). I thought each person is supposed make a move that is a continuation of the previous person's move. Is that how you play this? Or is it a group decision per move? If Gert was referring to 1. e4 for wht, that wouldn't be a continuation of GhostPawn's 1. c4, right?

I'm thinking Ger-Jan was trying to play 1...e5, it's not uncommon to mix up the notation that way (e.g. Rb1 as black and you mean Rb8 etc).
But then caliphiga made a different 2nd move 1...Nf6 which you followed up on.
I don't know if the OP was wanting to play white himself or meant this as a group exercise or what.
That's my take on it.

Its a group exercise, anyone can play the next move. Mix ups can happen, the next poster can fix any problems like illegal moves, which can happen in blindfold games.
State of play - 1. c4, Nf6 2. e4, e5 (white to play).

Ok,
1.c4 Nf6 2.e4 e5 3.Nc3

Hi Gert-Jan, its my fault for not making the original post clear. This game is meant to be a bit of fun. I've never played a blindfold game before and I don't want to play a whole game against the might of chess.com. I think its better for anyone to play the next move (for white or black) rather than me playing white.

1.c4 Nf6 2.e4 e5 3.Nc3 Bc5 4.Nf3 Nc6
The white knight jumps out of my mind's eye and slays e5. 5. Nxe5 (
1.c4 Nf6 2.e4 e5 3.Nc3 Bc5 4.Nf3 Nc6 5. Nxe5)

1.c4 Nf6 2.e4 e5 3.Nc3 Bc5 4.Nf3 Nc6

"looking" at this blindfolded, I don't think it works too well for white... :)

Why not, can't wht play 6. d4 ? (1.c4 Nf6 2.e4 e5 3.Nc3 Bc5 4.Nf3 Nc6 5. Nxe5 Nxe5 6. d4). I've played the fork trick enough to see this blindfolded (not that it is that big of an accomplishment, but kind of cool to be able to play a tactic blindfolded). At least I think it is a tactic, lol
Anyone to play the next move after 1. c4. Empty board (can't remove the kings) is to help visualisation. When posting, please include all previous moves so people don't have to look through every previous post.
