They could not necessarily be tanning and having a drink, they could be in hospital or stuck on a medieval Galician village. 
OK, gays .. My point was as I first mentioned. The reason of many vacations not illness or study, but it is most often that the players have made some big blunders in the play and they isn't tough enough to admit this and take "holly-days".

I agree with OP. I have been playing a team match since February. It's a five day move game and this person goes on vacation every other move. I don't think that vacation time was developed for a tactic or an excuse. i have reported this but nothing changes.
