Tournament Prediction Game 2017 (PPP) 🡺 "Tata Steel Chess 2018"

Hey, I just made a prediction, am I in time?Â
But what I really care to learn is where can I watch a broadcast of Norway Chess '17

You are!Â
- Blitz section (to determine pairings) starts in 26h30m (18:30 LOC)
- Round 1 of the classical chess starts in 48h (16:00 LOC)
I'll try to post every bit of asked info in this thread. Also, you're all encouraged to discuss the event, post games here and commentate etc.Â

What does the winner receive?
Glory and fame.
For now only this since I'm a broke student. We will see for the future. :)

Electric shocks for everyone else.
Don't say this! I'll lose even those 20 players!Â
Bread and bacon for eeryone :)

Thanks, also I just found out:
MONDAY June 5th on ChessTV –  NORWAY CHESS BLITZ with GM Jon Ludvig Hammer at 9am PDT/LA, 12pm EDT/NY, 5pm GMT/London, 9:30pm IST/Mumbai

So, the blitz is used to determine which 5 people get an additional white in the classical, correct? Well, I've always wondered why organizers don't just invite an odd number of people, so that everyone can get the same number of whites and blacks. But no - it seems that in every single-round-robin tournament, the number of participants is always even.

Holy sh*, 40 correctly filled forms right now!Â
@macer75, then everyone would have a bye. That would mean someone could have 2-day "rest-day". Or with no rest days, someone would have to play 10 games before having a rest day for example. I believe the only "fair" way to manage single-round-robin tournament is to have a double-round-robin blitz before the event.Â
@onthehouse, thank you very very much indeedÂ

Oh... that's so obvious lol. Why didn't it occur to me earlier?
