Hypothesis: That given enough time and resources, top grandmasters would be able to develop strategies to defeat the best compter programs available today.
Method: Take the five best players in the world, get them together with a team of programmers and a copy of Rybka 4 (or Houdini), give them 12-24 months worth of funding to work on strategies to defeat the engine. At the end of this period each of the grandmasters will play a match against the engine.

In my opinion there is no motivation nowadays for grandmasters or any chess players to try and develop strategies to defeat computers. If more attention was given to this then flaws in chess engines would be eliminated more quickly. This in turn would impact on human play.
