the lowest is zero, the highest would be something like (number of registered players) * (400 rating point gap). From 0 to 3000, points estimate your strength. Zero doesn't get you kicked off, but 3000 should. It doesn't because it's a hassle to ban cheaters so the site doesn't mess with it more than it has to.

Two questions has always been on my mind, "what is the lowest point a chess.com member can ever have?". It always bothered me if someone can ever run out of points, if that ever happens will that person be eliminated from chess.com. Also "what is the highest point one can obtain in chess.com?". The no 1 ranked in chess.com, Gornuke, ( pardon me if i'm wrong ) seems not to be able to cross over to 3000. Most wins he had aren't considered but every loss takes him further away from 3000. Is there something to it if someone ever crosses to 3000?.
