Those of you who want to incarcerate people based on political differences do not believe in democracy. If what you want is done, you deserve no expectation that the politicians you favor should remain free along with yourselves.

More than likely, the politicians that they favor didn't pre-emptively pardon themselves while they were still in office when the finger was pointed at them for war crimes.

So, they oppose democracy because they favor politicians who are angels who are not accused of fictitious crimes. That is what happens when you criminalize political policy differences. You, in the name of "they," would make thought and speech into war crimes.

Since it is absurdly off topic, do not reply here. But please send me a private message identifying one recognized war-crime of which there is any evidence any member of the current administration committed. If you can't, you might want to not say things like this in public.

More to the point, this thread is NOT intended to be political. It asks an interesting question about political figures -- how many do we know who play chess.

FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov has to be considered a political figure.

I guess Kirsan would be unique in that not only does he play chess, but he has tried to turn his country into a chess center as well.
