Prepping for my next tournament.

I'll be playing in the Tim Just Winter Open next weekend so I am really trying to brush up the tactical side of my Black repertoire.

Was a dedicated Sicilian player, then started playing the French, but now it's time to go home.

I've been diligently working on the Sceveningen: Move by Move and really enjoying it.

Between next weekend, and two weekends after when I play in the Northeastern Open in Neenah, WI I would like to leave the 1600's in the rearview mirror permanently. 

I've broken 1700 twice, but dropped back down each time.  In fact, I had a horrible few months in the early part of this year and dropped all the way down to 1560, but I'm back up to 1689 and playing well.

So let's hope it's my time to make the next big breakthrough.

Is clothing required at the tournament? I've had some TDs get uptight over this even though USCF doesn't seem to address it.

It's just time to make some serious strides.  The goal is master within 10 years.

Clothing is optional as long as you are attractive and female. Otherwise, sorry, see the official rules, annex G-7.3a.

Ironically I did not break 1700 in these two tournaments, but I did get to 1699!

I then won the final round of a club tournament to make it to 1710...
