Problems with online play (new oftware bug?)

Starting from yesterday, I have four or five times experienced what I think must be a software bug.

During the game, all of a sudden auto resign starts counting down. You can't make a move, chat doesn't work. Bars on the top indicate poor connection.

Auto resign stops at 4 seconds (exactly 4 seconds every time)

One of the players counters counts down until zero.

Nothing happens for a couple of minutes, 

Finally it says game was cancelled (but using another wording that I rdont emember, same as when one player never makes his first move) No rating points are given. Game does not appear in the list of games played.

Very irritating! Has anyone else experienced this problem? I use the Android chess.com app.

If the game doesn't make it to your archive and no rating loss, it was likely a live server restart of crash. When that happens, the games aren't written to the archive. There have been a couple of issues today, though I don't know if those impacted the live server or not.

I experienced this twice yesterday. It recorded it as a loss both times...very annoying. Today I think two of my opponents experienced this as they suddenly stopped playing after about a minute

Did you wait until the game terminates? It takes rather long time (time left on the clock + another two or three minutes after it has reached zwro) but when I have the patient  to wait, the game is not counted as a loss.

It crashed because a youtuber Samay Raina held a arena tournament and a lot of people joined.
