I have an ipad now - got it yesterday, and it is wonderful. Mates, it was expensive but well worth it for me. Chess.com plays on it like a dream. And since I got the 3G version, I am connected wirelessly to AT&T and I get UNLIMITED time on the internet, downloads and all, for $30 a month.
It is bright and colorful, and maybe HD. I subscribe to Netflix for movies, and I can play literally hundreds of movies on the iPad free with Netflix.
I bought 2 chess programs (TChess Pro and Shredder) for $7.99 each and downloaded them without any problem through something Apple has called ITunes.
Anyway, I am a happy camper, and I will confess I have literally spent this whole day on the sofa with the iPad in my lap having a ball. I felt like I had the world at my fingertips just sitting there, news and stuff, and didn't have to go into the computer room or even MOVE...
