putting a starting position to a game in chessbase

does anyone know how to be able make a game open on a certain move (move 10 for example) every time its opened, or double clicked on -- in chessbase that is

Sorry, no idea.

you can choose, delete previous move and you get this function, but there has to be another way because while in database mode, there is an acronym for "P" or abbreviation and this apparently signifies or means "position". all games under P start in a specified position. I will see if I can do a index search with that term

Go to the position you want.  Under file menu hit "new" and "position setup"  When the setup board appears hit "OK"  Then under file menu hit "save"  When you save the position use an Astrix in the game information so you can spot the saved position.

Just press the S button on your keyboard
