The way I see it, it would simply give away the e6 pawn to the knight, or Ne4 or Rd1 forcing the Queen away. Also if Qd2, possibly Rc8+ with the rook/knight combination flushing out the black King. But hey... I'm no expert!
Question about Anand vs Topalov game 9
u cant move the rooks to force away the queen as queen will take the knight. so its queen+knight vs 2 rooks. i dont think rc8+ is good either because u cant give a forced checkmate so u will have to go back defend rook and i am pretty sure if u move knight to give the second check the king will attack him so u either lose knight again, or u lose the rook and the game. for the other continuations i think i dont have enough experience to predict what will happen.
As nobody answered my question on the comment i wrote in the game, i think i should ask here for a possible move for topalov. So my question is why topalov did not play Qd2 at move 32? Could someone pls give a possible continuation or explain me if this is a bad move and what makes it good/bad. ty.
