Question on computer analysis

Hi everyone!

I'm kind of new on Chess.com and I would like to know if it is possible to use the computer analysis of Chess.com on games other than the ones I have played on Chess.com. For example, I played a game at my local chess club and I would really like to analyse it with the computer on Chess.com, but I don't know how.

Please help me!

Thanks :)

I've never used the chess.com analysis feature here, so I can't answer that question.  Certainly though, someone who has used it will be able to respond for you.

Question... there are hundreds and hundres of free chess engines available, and more than a dozen good free interfaces to use these engines with.

A partial list of some of the engines can be found here:

Many of these engines are almost certainly stronger than whatever chess engine chess.com is using.

Is there a reason why you don't wish to download and install your own engines and interface, and not rely upon chess.com?

What is your point Collins?

MrEdCollins

My "point" is that if chess.com doesn't give the user the ability to have a chess engine analyze games played elsewhere, (and it might not, since obviously Tobie hasn't yet figured out how to do that) then it's still very possible fo him to achieve that goal, by other means.

And unless chess.com is using Stockfish or Houdini or Critter as its "engine" then he wouldn't be getting the strongest analysis anyway.

Sorry, the local analysis feature is only accessible directly from a game you played here.

Analysis for off-site games would be an interesting new feature to consider though - maybe in relation to the Editor. :)
