As you can probably tell from my avatar, "Searching for Bobby Fischer" is my all-time favorite movie. A ton of chess masters/grand-masters had cameo scenes in the movie. There's one scene I'd like to present to all of you tonight, who have seen the movie, since I LOVE blitz chess. Josh Waitzkin (played by Max Pomeranc) at one time talks to his mentor about blitz chess, and his mentor Bruce Pandolfini (played by Ben Kingsley) replies (paraphrase): "I know you like blitz chess, but it ruined a lot of great players. It ruined XXXX"
There was some names mentioned but I could never pick it up from the DVD. As the film had so many chess consultants on it, I wonder if that was a real player, and some grand master who was ruined by "blitz" chess. Thanks for any help on this question.
