"I own you now" and other phrases used

One of my opponents said this to me: "I own you now".  What does this mean?

Have you seen other similar judgments used during or after a game here?

...oh, come on, you're American. You invented trashy phrases like this! They mean they can beat you in the chess position, if said during, or after, that they're better than you at chess.

It means the person you are playing has no self control.

"I own you"..."Owned"..."Pwnd" are popular words/phrase with the youngins

It means he spent his valuable thinking time typing pixels that noone cares about.

 

If possible, try to motivate opponents to do more things like this.

Your opponent's claim is that you can't beat him / her. It's a common piece of trash talk in sports: "Peyton Manning owns the Cincinnati Bengals" doesn't mean he is the actual owner of the team, it means he beats them every time he faces them.
