"Stappenmethode" - where to begin?

Step One appears to be for beginners. Does anyone know how this series is set up and where one should jump in?  I'm not a beginner, but need lots of review of basics - wondering if Step 2 is a place to begin.

Step 2 covers basic tactics like double attacks, pins, attacking the defender, discovered attacks, as well as some basic checkmating patterns. If you need a review of the basics but know the rules it is probably the place to start.

If you have no OTB/club experience, then probably step 2.

It seems like a logical, well-rounded approach to improvement as opposed to focusing on one area of the gamne at a time.  And the books are of reasonable length so as not to be too doscouraging.
