Rating and time control

Should games under G/45 be rated under standard? When my rating was <1000 that seemed like eternity. Even at 1400 G/30 and G/45 was pretty long. Now with my rating at 1900 that seems so short. Should games under G/30 be rated under only quick rating?

                                  I am not  qualified to answer your  question. Im assuming G/45,G/30, means time limit for each player.My problem is, I am confused as to how Chess.com  rates any game. I resigned a game last night  and lost 270 points off my rating. How is this possible? Its not the ELO sys,perhaps  chess.com uses  the  "Wheel of fortune"method? I will appreciate it very much if you can shed some light on this matter. I would like to become  a platinum member but  wont until this issue is clarified tome. thanks much ....aglitatta

in the beginning the rating goes up and down a lot the more you play the less ur rating goes up and down

i mean not on chess.com like in real tournaments
