Why are the ratings of most (not all, mind you) women players less than those of the men? Women even require to achieve a lower rating to become WGMs. Why does a separate title WGM exist in the first place? Oughtn't there be equality? A single GM title, for both men and women would be good.
Could someone explain this discrepancy?
