I've been working hard on my tactics and increased my rating from 1500-1650 in the last few months, but I'm not sure I'm really playing all that much better. Seems like with more new players online due to COVID (and maybe Queen's Gambit) there may have been an infusion of "extra" points that are trickling up through the ranks of above average players? Anyone have an opinion or method of proving/ disproving this? Just seems like 1500 players are making more mistakes lately?
