Rating Inflation?

Two months exactly after that first post, I rank now #11466 out of a 2235 Rapid rating. (3 rating points can't make you gain or lose 1500 places in ranking)

That, and, weirdly enough, refunds of rating points for banned players seem to have decreased by a whole lot.

So, without talking about forbidden matters, what's going on chess.com?

I suppose a lot of players decided to play Rapid instead of blitz. More players in the pool would automatically decrease or increase others'ratings depending on their strength and results. For example if the new active players coming in are stronger then they would naturally increase their rating at the expense of their opponents and vice versa. I think that more players are joining the live Rapid tournaments for experience.
