Rating is horrible in chess.com

In a competition I got a much higher rating than Chess.com in every tournament I get a rating average of 1456 which is much more than my rating on chess.com is It that I resign more often at chess.com or is because the opponent wins more abandonment. Is it just me or ratings are inflated. Can it be that I play more seriously at tournaments?
